Recipes I love....

I am doing a lot of planning this year for meals that I can put in the crock-pot in the morning, or even the night before, and have ready for dinner when we are done with school. We have so many evening obligations, but I am bound and determined that I am not going to fail in the home-cooked meals department. We have that little slice of time together, and I am going to make sure it happens as often as possible.
I have done pretty well over the Summer, because I can have things planned and have time to cook in the afternoon.
I was given a really nice food processor and I have two crockpots, one small for meals like chilis and soups, and the other larger for meats and bulkier foods. I want to start making freezer "packets" of ingredients so that I can just throw everything in in the morning, frozen.

Laura came up with a really wonderful calendar, that she was able to share with me.
It is a menu of favorite meals, with the recipes added to the "details" section.
It is just wonderful!
There are so many slow cooker meals and everything is very family friendly! Budget wise too!
I need to go through and make my list for the first week.
I will shop on Monday and be ready to go on Tuesday, when we start school.
I a looking forward to being free to work with the boys, while dinner is cooking away, worry free.

I love the feel of home and I love the business of making my home and homeschool work as smoothly and "Grace"fully as possible. I want to help preserve the art of Domesticity, with the added Blessing of Home Education.
This is the purpose of this blog. To pass along some of the things I have learned, and am learning, about organizing, about cooking, about homeschooling, about time management and other tidbits.
